Have you been wanting to learn a new game, but haven't found the opportunity yet? Check out the upcoming Learn to Play Events that we have throughout the month of April.
Learn to Play: Warhammer 40K: On Saturday, April 6th at 12:00 PM learn to play Warhammer 40K. This event is free to play, and players do not need to own/bring anything to learn. Warhammer 40K is one of the most popular Miniature Wargames in the world, with tons of factions to choose from and a large local community, this is a great game to learn and play!
Learn to Play: Magic the Gathering on Sunday, April 14th at 12:00 PM (Noon). In this monthly learn to play event, players will become Spellcasters as they step into the world of Magic the Gathering, one of the longest running TCG universes. Players will work directly with a senior player as they discover land types, creature types, and other exciting spells! This learn to play has a cost of $35. Each player who participates will get a pre-constructed deck to learn to play with along with a deck box to help keep their cards safe.
Learn to Play: Lorcana Sunday, April 14th at 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, or 4:00 PM. Become an Illumineer, using your characters and lands to help gain lore faster than your opponent during these three Lorcana learn to play opportunities. The cost to participate is $35. Players will each receive a pre-constructed deck along with a deck box to help keep their cards safe. In addition to these items, players will get small group time with an experienced Lorcana player, as she goes into the basics of playing!
Learn to Play: Dungeons & Dragons: On Sunday, April 14th at 1:00 PM learn to play D&D. This comprehensive session with an experienced Dungeon Master, takes players through the process of creating their first character, learning and understanding the rules, and playing a short one-time adventure. The cost to play in this event is $10. Players who participate will get their own set of dice to take home, along with their ready to play character that they can bring to any Adventurer's League night!
Learn to Play: Pokémon on Sunday, April 14 at 3:00 PM. During this learn to play, new trainers will work with our Pokefessor as they navigate their way through their first Pokémon Battle! The new trainers who participate in this learning experience will each get a pre-constructed deck to learn to play with, along with a deck box to help keep their cards safe. The cost to participate in this event is $35.
Learn to Play: Magic the Gathering with this Outlaws of Thunder Junction Open House event on Sunday, April 21st. This is a secondary option to learn the exciting Trading Card Game that is Magic the Gathering! The cost to play is $35, with participating players each getting a pre-constructed deck and a deck box to help keep their cards safe.
